THE TIES THAT BIND: LAUREN & JAMES
When I saw the engagement announcement on social media, I was beyond elated. I had the pleasure of meeting this now young lady during her high school years. Being newly married myself and about to have a daughter of my own, I watched how Lauren and her mom interacted with one another and loved their relationship. I could see for myself that she would grow to be a young woman filled with drive, determination, faith, purpose and integrity. Any man that would approach her would have to be truly worthy of all that she had to offer and would find himself fortunate and blessed.
Okay so maybe I’m a little biased, but when this cute couple decided that they wanted my partner, Omar, and I to capture the special moments for their big day, I was absolutely honored. I felt a little old too, but hey, we all get older right! Not only would I be there to witness their union, along with family and friends, but I would be able to capture these moments for her to cherish for years to come. I was thrilled.
When we talked with them about what they wanted to capture for their engagement session, we were both excited. We love it when a bride and groom desire to bring creativity to the session, which allows for us to have fun, showcase their love for one another and make the session truly unique to them. We loved the setting of downtown Main St. in Grapevine. With so much to offer in old school charm, it was a perfect play for them and their new school flair. For a moment it felt as if we had stepped into an editorial shoot for up and coming couples. Magazine spread ready, they were both on point!
The shoot couldn't be just about showing off their style and love for one another. It wasn't complete until we captured one of the things that they have in common--fitness. To say that they have a love for sports, fitness and health would be an understatement. So, break out the athletic gear and let’s hit the court.
Below are a few images from their engagement session that we couldn’t pass up sharing.
Now…the update is that these two love birds couldn’t wait until October to become Mr. & Mrs. Woodson, but don’t worry, the formal wedding is still on and we can’t wait to showcase them on our blog.
